Abstract

The Water Research Fund has been established to support research projects addressing sustainable utilisation of water resources in the Southern Africa region. The purpose of the Fund is to build research capacity among regional institutions and individuals as well as to promote the utilisation of research results in the planning and management of water resources in the sub-region. To encourage research that leads to better use of precipitation to increase land productivity or availability of water for domestic use.
