A preliminary comparison between various granular active Carbons for water reclamation

Abstract

The quality of eight commercially available granular active carbons was investigated in laboratory characterization tests and *pilot plant scale adsorption columns. Althougn this was only in first phase of a long-term programme, the results already indicate that the carbons derived from bituminous coal, peat or The data provided may be used as a basis for screening most suitable available carbons.
