Spectrophotometric determination of fluoride in drinking water using aluminium complexes of triphenylmethane dyes

Abstract

4 July 2012544 provided by Fluka were used without any further purification. All the chemicals were of analytical reagent grade except where stated otherwise. Solutions were prepared using doubledistilled water. Chrome azurol Band malachite green ligand solutions and their aluminium complex solutions were prepared using ethanol from Merck (96%). 1382 g of sodium fluoride provided by Merck in 250 mℓ water. The stock solution was further diluted as needed.
