Abstract

This short course will introduce participants to the basic concepts and practice of water governance and leadership. It is designed for current and future water leaders, policy makers, and water managers. Upon completion of the short course, participants will 1. have a good understanding of water governance and leadership principles and mechanisms 2. gain insights into how water governance and leadership shapes policy and management reforms 3. acquire knowledge about how public interests can be transformed into effective and legitimate actions through water governance and leadership 4. appreciate the need for multi-level adaptive water governance and leadership On completion participants will receive a certificate of competence.
